i just made the wrong choice by telling rika to watch the repeat telecast of ndp.
because my grandfather is outside too and he's bombarding me with questions.
and that's not the worse part. the thing is, he repeats the same questions over and over.
(in chinese)
grandfather: how come both of you don't seem to talk much?
me: she's very quiet.
grandfather: oh so she doesn't like to talk much. how long is she going stay?
me: 17 days.
grandfather: is she from the school or did you invite her?
me: she's from the school.
grandfather: oh, how long is she going to stay?
me: 17 days. SEVENTEEN DAYS.
grandfather: how come both of you don't seem to talk much?
me: she is very quiet.
grandfather: what language does she speak?
me: japanese.
grandfather: do you talk to her? how come both of you don't seem to talk much?
me: she's very quiet.
grandfather: what language does she speak?
me: japanese.
grandfather: so she's from japan. how long is she going to stay here?
me: seventeen days.
grandfather: do you receive money?
me: yeah, from the school.
grandfather: where is she from?
me: japan.
grandfather: then you can learn the language from her! how long is she going to stay?
me: yeah, 17 days.
grandfather: how come you don't seem to talk much?
me: she's watching tv.
and it goes on...
oh my god. thank god my grandmother came and sat down with us! if not i don't think he'll ever stop. now he has quieten down a bit. i was really about to cry. couldn't even do my physics sia.
he's so scary, really. and i don't want to talk about the conversation one we had one night.
thank god for my grandmother. who can be really nice, and really irritating sometimes. oh well, i like to remember the nice parts better.
