today, we had chemistry lessons in the lab and we did an experiment about titration. we had to use a pipette to measure solution Q, then pour the solution into a conical flask and add a few drops of methyl orange to the solution. so then we have solution P in the burette, and we have to release solution P bit by bit into the conical flask until the solution in the conical flask turns orange. we then take note of the final reading of the burette to see how much of solution P is left in the burette.
IF YOU THINK CHEMISTRY PRACTICAL LESSONS ARE JUST ALL ABOUT THAT, YOU ARE SO WRONG.
so so so wrong.
chemistry lessons were never so simple.
today i will bring you through Penny's Chemistry and Biology Lesson. it is not only interesting, but also insightful. you will start to see lab apparatus in a different light.
so, if you think a pipette is as innocent as a pipette, a burette is as innocent as a burette, and a bunsen burner lighter as innocent as a bunsen burner lighter, let me tell you this:
YOU ARE SO SO SO WRONG.
don't ever be fooled by appearances.
you know about those stories you heard of toys coming alive in the middle of the night when everyone's asleep when you were young? i never knew if they were true or not. but this is what i discovered today.
science lab apparatus come alive when the science lab is empty.
yes, it's true. you just didn't know about it.
and this is what they do when they come alive. they fool around.
burette: "oh darling, give me a blow!"
that is why those lighters can light up bunsen burners in them. because they have so much passion in them, they're hot enough to spark off a fire.
and how did i manage to get hold of that picture, you may ask. because i made friends with the apparatus, that's why i can get that shot with my pencilcase and gao zhi in the background. in front of friends, science lab apparatus are never shy.
and as everyone knows, even though burettes and bunsen burner lighters are naughty things, many students are even naughtier.
so, titration can get a little boring sometimes, just filling burettes and pipettes with chemicals you don't even know, and waiting for them to change colour and all that.
and our student, may, has always been fast in doing chemistry experiments. as usual, she finished early today.
and you know when you finish your experiment during chemistry lab lessons, you start to get a little bored.
but of course, that is not the case for may. because she doesn't only feel just bored, she feels bored and deprived. so being bored and deprived, this sense of mischief overwhelms her and she did something really naughty. it's really a taboo to spell out what she did clearly, and i feel pretty awkward saying it since i'm always so shy and all, but i took pictures of her in the act, to let y'all see for yourselves, what may does during chemistry lessons.

and when she's finally done with it, she says
"YUMMY! GIVE ME MORE!"
and that was today's episode of may and the burette.
but today's episode then led me to think: this time it's the burette, but what about next time? real men?
so would it be
angmoh langs like brad pitt who only likes girls with thick lips?
or
the crush of many teenage girls
or
just the typical asian ahpek?
it all depends on may herself.
